Sir – Angie Paterson’s letter (April 30) refers to the Green Belt preventing development “within the current village envelope” of Berinsfield.
This sounds like code for wanting to build on our central field. I should point out that in the recent survey for our Parish Plan, 95 per cent of people were against any such move. The central field is a much-needed recreational space for a village which has a relatively high housing density.
Instead of trying to infill the village, some new housing could be planned for by extending to the northeast side, provided the necessary improvements to all the infrastructure are included.
