A student's passport, driving licence and wallet were stolen when he was attacked by four men in Oxford early yesterday.

The 19-year-old man was walking along Pullens Lane, in Headington, at about 12.10am, when he was hit on the back on the head.

When he turned round he was confronted by the men, who demanded he hand over his possessions.

When the teenager refused, he was assaulted and thrown to the floor.

Police described the attackers as Eastern European, in their mid-20s, slim and about 6ft.

Det Sgt Matt Jarman said: “This appears to have been a completely unprovoked attack and robbery and we want to find these people as soon as possible.”

Anyone with any information should call Det Sgt Jarman on 08458 505505, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
