A passer-by came to the aid of a man who had just been mugged and helped him retrieve his belongings.
A 23-year-old man got off a bus in Marsh Road, Cowley, Oxford, in the early hours of Monday and noticed two people walking behind him.
As a man grabbed his arms, a woman rifled through his pockets and stole a mobile phone and wallet.

Det Con Steve Martin, said: “Fortunately the man wasn’t injured and managed to get his belongings back but I am still keen to catch whoever is responsible.
“The man and woman were last seen going into Agnes Court and I would like to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the offence to get in touch.”

She had dark hair, dyed blonde at the side and back, and was wearing hooped silver earrings, a dark jumper and dark trousers.
