OXFORD city councillors tonight agreed to shut seven of the city’s public toilets, to save £57,000 a year.
The sites that will shut are: Castle Street; Littlemore; Woodstock Road; South Parade; Barns Road; Knight’s Road; and Headington Hill Park (disabled).
The council’s executive also agreed to refurbish the toilets in Gloucester Green at a cost of £300,000 and introduce a 20p charge to use them.
