A WEST Oxfordshire village pub has received accolades from three independent guides.
Since reopening a year ago, the Swan, at Ascott-under-Wychwood, has featured in the Good Beer Guide 2010, Michelin’s Guide to Eating Out in Pubs and Alastair Sawday’s Pubs and Inns.
Proprietor Richard Lait said: “My goal has always been to put The Swan back at the heart of the community, after a long closure.
“Recognition in these guides is testament to the hard work the team here has put into bringing a proper village pub back to life.
“I raise my glass to the team here and to the diners and drinkers who have supported us.”
The Good Beer Guide is published by Camra, and pubs are voted in by its members.
The Michelin Guide to Eating Out In Pubs includes an anonymous inspection, while pubs in the Sawday’s Guide to Pubs and Inns are specially assessed.
