Hundreds of drivers, engineers and office staff at the Oxford Bus Company will today vote on whether to accept an offer of a 1.6 per cent pay rise.
About 400 members of the union Unite will take part in a ballot at Oxford's Watlington Road depot to decide whether to accept the company’s proposal.
Fred Hanna, regional organiser for Unite, said members were keeping an open mind on whether to accept or reject the offer.
However, Mr Hanna said if staff did reject it, there would be a mandate for them to take industrial action, which could involve a strike.
