A NETWORK Rail employee collapsed and died today while working on the tracks in Banbury.
The air ambulance was scrambled to the incident at about 1.45pm but the man was pronounced dead at the scene, near the town's waterworks, off the A422 Hennef Way.
Network Rail spokesman Gary Gaskarth said trains running between Banbury and Leamington Spa were cancelled or delayed while the man's body was recovered from the line.
Normal services resumed at 3.45pm.
