Summertown United retained its unbeaten home league record despite a sluggish start against Hinksey Park. Indeed, most of the initial pressure was from Hinksey Park although once Summertown scored, against the run of play, through a beautifully flighted chip from George Caddick, the home team took command and were leading 3-0 at half time with a goal from Aidan Bradley and a second from Caddick. In the second half, Summertown played with aplomb and could have had more goals were it not for some excellent goalkeeping and defensive play by Hinksey Park. Summertown's endeavours were rewarded when debutant Ben Choudhury made a great run down the right and rifled in a fine shot.
Final score: Summertown United 4 v 0 Hinksey Park Summertown scorers: George Caddick 2; Aidan Bradley 1; Ben Choudhury 1
