WHAT a relief to learn that the Prime Minister would never knowingly misspell a soldier’s name in a letter of condolence to the deceased’s mother.
As for the quality of his handwriting, and making some allowance for his poor eyesight (which, in my view, should be no laughing matter), he could do worse than to take lessons from David Blunkett who, as it happens, has a perfectly legible signature.
Still, the important thing is Gordon Brown’s sincerity.
