Police today appealed for witnesses after the bowls pavilion in Waddesdon was set on fire.
Officers were alerted to the fire at 9.27am on Sunday by Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service and it is believed the fire was started overnight between Saturday and Sunday.
The front entrance and some wood panelling on the premises have been damaged as a result of the fire.
Neighbourhood Inspector Emma Garside, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have information regarding the incident or may have witnessed someone acting suspiciously in the area overnight between Saturday and Sunday to contact us as their information may be vital to the investigation.
“I want to reassure residents we are working closely with Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service and investigating a number of lines of enquiries. Regular patrols are being carried out in the area by the neighbourhood policing team and we will strive to identify the offender and bring them to justice.”
