A couple who were alleged to have harassed neighbours in a boundary dispute were bound over to keep the peace.
Jonathan Harpwood and his wife, Gillian, of Foxborough Road, Radley, had argued with their neighbours, the Wilsons and the Balls, about a fence, Didcot magistrates heard.
Katie Oliver, prosecuting, told the court that the Harpwoods had shouted abuse and petty threats at the other couples.
Gordon Hotson, defending, said there were difficulties on both sides.
But Mr and Mrs Harpwood felt they did not want to take it to a contested trial as they were both in poor health. They had agreed to be bound over, to bring the matter to a conclusion. They were bound over in the sum of £100 to keep the peace for six months, especially towards Mr and Mrs Wilson and Mr and Mrs Ball.
The Crown Prosecution Service withdrew a charge against the Harpwoods of causing harassment to the Wilsons and Balls between November 23, 2001 and January 10, 2002.
