Oxford City gave their best Ryman League performance for a long time to spoil the party for Aylesbury on Saturday. They won 4-1.
The Ducks had already ensured promotion to the Premier Division, but City's victory denied them any chance of the Division 1 title.
The home side went close early on when a shot from Gangura landed on top of City's bar, but it was the home team who escaped when Lewis Craker had a shot beaten out by Wheeler following a corner.
Two goals in the space of eight minutes silenced United's largest league gate for three seasons - 1,412.
In the 22nd minute, Shaun Wimble got the ball in behind the home defence and Danny Wise netted with a fine right-foot shot from outside the area.
Then, after Steve Arkins had been tripped, he latched on to Wimble's free kick and rifled a left-foot drive into the roof of the net.
City's movement and passing was causing the Ducks all sorts of problems and although Risley sent a rare home effort into Phil Wilson's arms, only a last-ditch tackle denied Arkins before half - time.
Despite losing the injured Wise at the break, City continued to stretch the home defence, and when Arkins was again tripped 25 yards out in the 52nd minute, Wimble curled a perfect free kick over the home wall for No 3.
Aylesbury's free-scoring attack were just not in it and Kelvin McIntosh and Jorden Holder might have increased City's lead.
With 15 minutes left, Wheeler saved a powerful low shot from Arkins, only for Andy Smith to pounce on the loose ball for a City fourth.
Clarke notched a Ducks consolation with two minutes left, but an outstanding all-round performance meant that City were far from flattered by the final scoreline.
