Car enthusiasts from a bygone age turned out in force to show off their vehicles this weekend.
About 60 proud owners of Morris Minor saloons, estates, vans and convertibles steered them back to the original site of the Cowley Works, where the much-loved marque was made between 1948 and 1971.
The pilgrimage was organised by the Morris Minor Owners' Club, whose members congregated on the site of the former factory, where the Longwall Travel Inn and Beafeater Restaurant now stands. Former Cowley plant employees were invited along. Later, the Morris Minor owners took a leisurely drive through Garsington, Chalgrove and Watlington to Nuffield Place, near Nettlebed, the former home of Lord Nuffield, as William Morris became.
Owners who would like to join the club can call Joan Collins on 01235 554630.
