MP Boris Johnson exchanged his seat in the House of Commons for a classroom chair to hear the views of young constituents.
The Henley MP joined Wheatley Primary School pupils for a session of their school council.
Mr Johnson listened to the children's views on safety, traffic, drug abuse, and the environment, and heard their demands for more cycle paths and a school trampoline.
Mr Johnson also presented prizes for sporting and musical achievement, and met headteacher Clive Hallett for discussions on issues facing teachers.
Mr Hallett said: "It was good for the children to meet their MP, and he has promised to come back to them to follow up their concerns."
He added: "It was also productive in terms of talking about budgetary issues and the increasing bureaucracy schools face."
