Oxford Sailability members were collecting 'treasure' at Swinford toll bridge on Monday, April 1.
Motorists were charged 5p to cross the privately-owned bridge, with the proceeds going to the group's funds.
The group, which is based at Farmoor reservoir, has specially adapted boats.
It is seeking new members for the forthcoming season and a barbecue is being held on Friday, April 12.
