A Scout group hopes a poster campaign on buses will solve its recruitment crisis.
Bill Butcher, of the troop's executive board
The 33rd Oxford (Kidlington) troop has permission from Stagecoach to put recruitment posters on a number of Kidlington buses as it is desperately short of volunteer Scout leaders.
Bill Butcher, a member of the troop's executive board, said: "The outdated notion of Scouting involving pots, pans, tents and baggy trousers has been shattered.
"Today's Scouts are more likely to spend their time scuba-diving or micro-lighting."
