Disabled pupils in Banbury and nearby villages are to benefit from a £9m scheme to improve facilities at mainstream schools.
Schools Minister Catherine Ashton announced the funding last week.
The money will provide improvements such as
ramps, lifts, and easy-to-open doors for children with mobility problems.
enhanced paint schemes and adjustable lighting for partially-sighted children.
acoustic loops and tiling in classrooms for deaf children.
The scheme is part of the government's plan to integrate more disabled pupils into normal schools.
Mrs Ashton said: "The Government is committed to ensuring that all children reach their full potential and the increase in funding is evidence of this.
"The money will create further opportunities."
