Green lines that appeared overnight on Bicester's Market Square have been explained.
The lines painted along the outside of the car park mark out a new pathway for shoppers using the Friday market.
Up until now pedestrians have been forced to walk on the road, dodging traffic on both sides of the busy square.
Now market traders will have to set up their stalls inside the green lines, leaving a footpath for shoppers.
