Oxfordshire Senior League round-up

STRIKER John Gilbert had a day of mixed fortunes for leaders Long Crendon, scoring a goal before dislocating a shoulder in their 2-0 win at Watlington in the Premier Division.

It started well for Gilbert as he fired the leaders ahead after six minutes. But just 14 minutes later the front man had to leave the field injured.

Despite this setback, Crendon continued to dominate, but had to wait until the 85th minute before making it five wins out of five when some neat work by Richard Gregory in the penalty area set up Dennis Gascoyne to score.

First-half goals from Ben Moses, Carl Howard and Zia Khan set Yarnton on the way to a 3-1 win over Charlton, whose late reply came from Neil Bustin.

Adderbury Park fought back to snatch a point in a 1-1 draw with Haddenham United, who had led through Gavin Way.

Ruscote Sports suffered their fifth consecutive defeat as they crashed 3-1 at home to Marston Saints.

Nigel Coleman scored a brace and Tom Waiton netted the other. Carl Hart scored for Sports.

In Division 1, Kidlington Old Boys maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 0-0 draw at home to Kennington.

In the second half, Kidlington were unlucky not to take the lead when Richard Wells struck a post with a wonderful curving shot.

Keith Rigby hit a hat-trick to give Kirtlington a 3-0 win over Oakley.

And two goals from Andrew Burns earned Bardwell a 2-0 home win over Middleton Cheney.

Jimmy Adams struck twice in the second half to help Launton Sports to a 4-1 win at Old Salesians.

Mark Nelson and Matty Alcock were their other marksmen.

In Division 2A, Chris Eaton bagged a hat-trick for Chinnor Res as they won 5-3 at Worcester College Old Boys.

Darren Gregory and Mark Jones were Charlton's other scorers, with Gavin Harvey (2) and Andy Hughes replying for Worcester College.

In Division 2B, Adrian Bishop scored his first hat-trick for Horspath Res as they beat lowly Kirtlington Res 3-2.
