Henley secured thedouble over Bedford in English National Division 1- and preserved their unbeaten record in matches between the two clubs - with an 18-10 victory at Dry Leas.
Referee Dave Pearson awarded numerous penalties and this was reflected in the manner of the scoring.
Henley scored all their points from penalty goals, with Matt Jones slotting five and Nick Buoy one.
Although Bedford scored the only try, under the posts through James Hinkins, just before the final whistle, they were second best.
Henley, particularly through centre Ric Van Zyl and full back Duncan Roke, made great inroads into a hard-working visitors' defence, without the finesse necessary to turn scoring opportunities into points.
