Jonny Dunbar came off the bench at half-time to help England Under 21s to a 10-8 victory over their French counterparts in the Six Nations Under 21 Championship at Newbury.
It was the Wantage blindside flanker's second international at this level, having made the starting line-up for the 27-12 defeat by Wales in February.
A former pupil at Wantage C of E Primary School and Abingdon School, the 21-year-old is currently studying at Durham University.
Dunbar, who also represented England Under 18s, started playing rugby as a nine-year-old at Grove RFC. He is contracted to Newcastle Falcons, although he has yet to play a game in the Zurich Premiership.
