A brilliant all-round display by Dave Clayton was the feature of Bicester's 20-5 Southern Counties North win over Phoenix in their last match.
The result means that Bicester will finish fourth from bottom, but their relegation fate will not be known for some time yet.
Playing uphill, Bicester led 15-5 at the break with tries from Clayton and centre Adam Wade, who added a conversion and a try.
Hooker Martin Ewins's close-range try seven minutes into the second half put the result beyond doubt.
