Abingdon flattered to deceive as they lost 30-8 at home to Henley Wanderers in their last Berks, Bucks & Oxon League Division 2 match of the season.
The home side raced into an 8-0 lead in the opening two minutes with a penalty by Xavier Lecocq and an inspired try by winger Tom Clarke, who collected his own chip-ahead to score.
But Henley forced their way back into the game and then eased to victory.
