Customers at four village shops in west Oxfordshire can ask for verses with their vegetables, alliteration with their apples and similes with their stamps.
Poets Marcus and Sara-Jane
Cotswold poets Marcus Moore and Sara-Jane Arbury will be bringing poetry to life in a project called Village Verses - Poetry in Village Shops. The project runs until May 27 and is the brainchild of The Theatre, Chipping Norton, West Oxfordshire District Council and Oxfordshire Rural Community Council.
The two poets, who live in Cirencester, are spending two weeks at a time in the local Post Offices and Stores of Standlake, Wootton, Kingham and Great Tew.
