Young people were invited to investigate remains from the past using the science of archaeology.

A session called "Sherlock Bones" was held at the Museum of Oxford in St Aldate's, Oxford, on Saturday, when visitors could research the remains of the past.

The event was part of a programme of events at the museum for National Science Week. From today until Friday, young space cadets can embark on a mission to save the planet from destruction.
