Rover Oxford cruised to a 4-1 win at Enfield in Area Division 1.
They have now amassed more points with two games to go than Bicester obtained last year in winning the league.
Unfortunately for Rover, the games to go may not be enough to overtake OMT in second place as they overcame Aylesbury, their toughest opponents in the run-in, 3-2. First-half goals from Ian McLaughlan and Martin Hunter saw Rover take charge.
A rare slip by McLaughlan allowed an Enfield break and their only chance of the game which was well converted by a home forward.
Rover upped the pace in the second half, with Simon Jess grabbing a third after a Hunter shot fell nicely to him, and a superb individual run and shot from Ian Kerr made it 4-1.
