Brenda Franklin, of Fairfax Close, Thame, was elected chairman of the Oxford and district branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society at the annual meeting at Rivermead rehabilitation centre in Abingdon Road, Oxford.
She succeeds Pip Giaretta, of Didcot, who held the post for four years. Mrs Giaretta becomes membership secretary.
