Two music groups from Abingdon School played in the final concert of a national festival.
The youngsters had won the right to appear by beating 130 other schools at qualifying rounds and semi-finals held at Headington School for Girls and at Wycombe Abbey School.
The pupils in the under-19 category who played Brahms's Horn Trio at the Chamber Music competition in Smith Square, London, on Sunday were: Timothy Dillon (violin), Henry Richards (French horn) and Jonathan Mak (piano),
In the under-17 section, Roderick Morris (violin) and Edmund Finnis (cello) and Jonathan Mak played Mendelssohn's D minor piano trio.
The final concert - in the form of a festival and not a competition - featured 22 ensembles.
Abingdon School's director of music, Michael Stinton, said: "We are delighted with the boys' success.
"It is a long time since two groups have got through to the finals in the same year.
"It is a tribute to their hard work and dedication."
