Ardley recovered from the shock of conceding an early goal to maintain their Cherry Red Records Hellenic League Division 1 West promotion push.

And things could have been worse if Chris Green's close-range strike had been allowed to stand, the referee blowing for a foul on Ardley keeper Paul Tassell.
But Ardley stepped up a gear and equalised when Jason Bedford powerfully headed home a Spencer Warr free kick on 27 minutes.
Three minutes later, Ardley went ahead when a Steve Ayris free kick was deftly flicked home by Steve Tucker, the ball just creeping inside Luke Alford's far post.
Ardley gave themselves a cushion when Warr badly mis-hit his left-foot shot across the face of goal, and Adam Hodgson was on hand to slot home for No 3.
The second half was a dour affair, but Ardley always had the upper hand and went close through Tucker, Warr and Tom Goldthorpe.
But they finally made the game safe with three minutes to go when Adie Meredith headed home a Paul Spittle corner.
