Wantage bagged three much-needed points in their battle to avoid relegation from the Premier Division after club volunteers spent all morning working on the pitch.
Wantage started brightly in treacherous conditions and Almondsbury rarely threatened the home goal in the first half.
Ian Grey, Nick Roberts and Kevin Read all went close, but against the run of play, Almondsbury took the lead on 30 minutes when a free kick was netted by Starlet.
In the second half, Wantage asked all the questions and after Frank Dorrian had missed a golden opportunity, they equalised on 53 minutes. A corner from Read found Roberts who headed in at the near posy.
Wantage continued to press for the winner and it came three minutes from time. Substitute Quinn raced down the wing and swung in a superb cross for Gavin Jones to score from a diving header.
