MP Evan Harris is backing a campaign to make sure the soccer World Cup tournaments in 2002 and 2006 are shown on terrestrial television.
The Oxford West and Abingdon MP has signed a Commons motion calling on Culture Secretary Chris Smith and the Independent Television Commission to do all in their power to stop television coverage rights being sold to subscription companies.
