Section 2 leaders Watermans B recorded their seventh win in a row in the Morrells oxford League after completing a 4-1 home victory over Bricklayers.
The only unbeaten player in this section, Paul Simmons, won the first game narrowly 1,600-610 and then Phil Chaundy (2,580-1,170), John Fordham (2,780-1,820) and Tony Williams (3,780-2,170) made it 4-0. Larry Richens saved Bricklayers' blushes with a 5,350-1,280 win over Andrew Seaman.
Second-placed South Oxford Club B triumphed 4-1 at Bullnose despite losing the opening game to Dave Tooke who breezed in with 10,110.
Viking Sports Club opened up a one-point lead at the top of Section 1 with a 4-1 home win over neighbours Black Boy. Roy Clough (7,350) and Alan Oliver (9,950, break 9,670) won the first two, with Boy's Bob Pincombe replying with a perfect break of 13,070 in his score of 14,430.
The two Smiths wrapped up victory, Tony scoring 2,320 and Ernie 7,880.
In second place are Masons A who won 3-2 at home to Tandem. Martin Wood (9,000 break), Dave Rose (9,030 break) and Alan Lowe, who beat Keith Sheard with the last ball in the 100, were their winners.
Watermans A regained pole position at the top of the Premier League after a convincing 5-0 win at Democrats B.
Ian Moquet led the way with 6,000-3,830 victory against the break and was well supported by Dennis Atkins (7,390), Graham Baldwin (10,100), Steve Denny (4,380) and Gary Johnson, who ran out the table with a sizzling 18,790.
