Wolvercote ABC featherweight Lawrence Lewis recorded his seventh stoppage in a row when he fought for the Home Counties against the Navy at the Pavilion, Hemel Hempstead.
The 21-year-old Lawrence was up against a taller opponent in Mark Lawton, and struggled to stamp his authority on the bout early on.
By the end of round two, however, the Wolvercote boxer was on top.
And it was no surprise in the third round when the referee stopped the fight to save Lawton from further punishment.
*Young Mark 'Geezer' Sadler is through to the quarter-finals of the English Schoolboy Championships the first Berinsfield boxer to achieve the feat since the club re-formed in 1994.
Home Counties champion Sadler, 12, boxing against Middlesex in the under 36 kilo category, saw off Gary Brown (Finchley) on a unanimous points decision at the Irish Centre, Campden Town, London.
