Major improvements to a town's river front are at the centre of redevelopment plans by local brewers.

Brakspear and Sons, which has been brewing in Henley since the 18th century, wants to comprehensively redevelop its town centre site and other properties.

This would include restoring the riverside boardwalk in front of the Angel on the Bridge pub by continuing it beneath Henley bridge to link up with the footpath on the other side. The plans also include redesigning the riverside area up to the public slipway with wider pavements on both sides of the road, new moorings and landscaping.

The creation of a brewery attraction and visitor centre is also planned.
