OXFORD RFC's youngsters are on the move. The club's under 15 squad depart on Saturday for their Millennium Tour to Ireland.

Former Oxford player Andy Barr has provided each touring member with a special club Tour tie to commemorate the occasion.

Members of 'The Friends of Oxford RFC' have donated 500 towards the cost of commemorative polo shirts, and other tour costs.

Meanwhile, the club's under 12 group set off for their traditional three-day tour of Cornwall on Friday.

THE old boys of Magdalen College School finished runners-up in an inaugural ten-a-side tournament held at St Edward's School.

Inspired by Chinnor scrum half John Vaughan and clubmates Ed Walsh and Ben Thompson, Magdalen reached the final by beating Pangbourne 21-0, Eton 39-0, Abingdon 12-0 and St Edward's 19-12. But in the final, they lost 29-19 to Wellington College.

THE Royal Logistics Corps, from Dalton Barracks, Abingdon, are gunning for glory when they take on the Royal Welch Fusiliers in the Army Major Units Cup final at Aldershot tomorrow (3.30).

To reach the final, the Dalton team have beaten the Welsh Guards, the Duke of Wellington's Regiment and the Royal Regiment of Wales.

MARY Drew ran in two tries for Witney Angels but could not stop them going down 49-17 at Buckingham. Larissa Shadbolt scored the other Witney try, with Andrea Thomas kicking two conversions.
