Oxford Cheetahs will be looking for their first Elite League point of the season when they visit title favourites King's Lynn tonight (Wednesday, 7.30).

It will be another daunting task for the untried Oxford squad as they take on some of the world's best in Jason Crump and Leigh Adams on the wide open spaces of Saddlebow Road.

The likes of Jimmy Nilsen, Todd Wiltshire and Steve Johnston can hold their own on what is generally accepted as the best racing strip in the country.

But until Oxford's second strings settle down and come to terms with top-flight racing, they are always going to struggle. The Knights not only boast the top Aussie duo, but have last year's Oxford skipper Craig Boyce who has been a revelation since joining the Norfolk team in the winter.

He is hitting regular double-figure scores and added real body to the team.

Oxford have already lost out to Coventry and Ipswich and the start to the new Elite League campaign couldn't have been tougher. Roman Povazhny looked very sharp in the Euro Classic on Friday and that will have helped Cheetahs confidence, as will the fine display put up by Ales Dryml for the Czech Republic at Exeter on Monday when he scored 13 points.

Kings Lynn: Crump, Masters, Boyce, Parker, Adams, McGowan, Madsen.

Oxford: Wiltshire, Povazhny, A Dryml, Johnston, Nilsen, L Dryml, Underwood.
