Retired nurse Marjorie Coles could be forgiven for wanting to put her feet up.

But, instead of relaxing with a spot of gardening, Mrs Coles spends her days teaching hardened criminals how to sew.

Bullingdon Prison is holding classes teaching inmates how to make top-quality embroidery.

It is an unusual strategy, but it does seem to work.

One 39-year-old who we have spoken to said it gave him time to reflect.

Well done to Marjorie for having the guts to do it, and for helping to deliver what seems to be a successful means of rehabilitation.
