Police are appealing for witnesses after a digger was driven across a Woodstock school's playing field.
The small digger was taken from the Marlborough School in Woodstock at about 10.30pm on Saturday from the school's grounds in Shipton Road.
It was driven around the school’s playing field, causing damage to the football pitch, goal-posts and nets before being dumped in a nearby hedge.
PC James Challender said: “I would like to speak to anyone who was in the area around this time, who may have seen people acting suspiciously near the school or who witnessed the incident.
“This sort of mindless vandalism is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated.”
Anyone with information should contact PC Challender via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. Alternatively you can contact the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
