Faulty traffic lights at junction nine of the M40 caused traffic problems near Bicester this afternoon.
Congestion was reported on the southbound exit from the motorway and on the A41 southbound.
Later reports said the lights were working again.
Police are also dealing with a crash involving a lorry and a car that has blocked the B4031 Station Road at Aynho, between the B4100 Roundtown and Tithe Lane.
