Littlemore started the match with just 10 players due to enforced absences, with another player arriving late (midway through the 1st half) to make their number up to a bare 11 players.

Blackbirds started the match brightly and were fortunate to catch the Littlemore defence napping early on, for what was a relatively easy opportunity to take the lead and make the score 1 - 0 to Blackbirds.

Littlemore responded well to the early set-back with a well taken goal by Nish Parameswaran, who showed good pace and close control to score from a narrow angle after a good through-ball from Iman St. Clair, to make the score 1 - 1.

Littlemore started to show their dominance in the match with good defending, limiting Blackbirds to few chances in the 1st half with both Nish Parameswaran and Saul St. Clair tracking back well to prevent goal scoring opportunities for Blackbirds.

Faz Kaleem made the score 1 - 2 midway through the 1st half, after good play through the middle from Iman St. Clair who played the ball wide to Faz kaleem on the left, who showed good pace and skill to score. The Blackbirds goalkeeper was unlucky not to hold onto the shot that bounced over her head, slipped through her fingers and over the goal line.

Play was halted near the end of the 1st half after a bad tackle from behind on Saul St. Clair. From the resulting free-kick and with Littlemore temporarily reduced to 10 players, a well flighted free-kick by Nish Parameswaran behind the Blackbirds back-line was well controlled by Iman St. Clair, who showed good pace, strength and composure to slot the ball into the bottom left hand corner to make the score 1 - 3, shortly before half-time.

The 2nd half started well for Blackbirds with them creating some counter attacking opportunities that were prevented by good goalkeeping and defending by Littlemore, one effort was cleared off the goal-line by a Littlemore defender.

It was a counter attack move by Littlemore that effectively ended Blackbird's challenge with a clever flicked header from Faz Kaleem on the half-way line that was well controlled by Iman St. Clair who beat the offside trap to advance down the centre of the pitch and score his second goal past the advancing goal keeper with a cool finish to make the score 1 - 4.

Blackbirds continued to battle and were rewarded with a 2nd goal to make the score 2 - 4 late in the second half but Littlemore were worthy winners of the match especially considering that they started the match with only 10 players and then went 1 - 3 ahead while reduced to 10 men through injury. The whole team showed great character to bounce back after going 1 - 0 down, so early in the match. Well Done!
