Linda Sargent, who lives in Great Milton, won The Oxford Times short story contest in 1998. She has had stories published in children’s collections, but Paper Wings (Omnes, £6.99) is her first full-length novel and she describes it as a “grown-up book about childhood”.
The book has won praise from author Adel Geras, who describes the writing as ‘both direct and poetic’. It is available from Amazon, or via www.lindasargent.co.uk
