I AM writing on behalf of the Meningitis Trust to ask if any of your readers would like to take part in a world-class marathon, and join our team for the Chicago Marathon in October.

We have eight spaces left in the race and they are completely free.

This year we aren’t asking for a registration fee or a minimum sponsorship, we are just asking our runners to raise what they can.

If you’re running your first marathon, or are a seasoned runner looking for a quick time or a personal best, then the Chicago Marathon is just the ticket, with its flat course that features a superb start and finish area in the middle of a thriving city that’s easy to get to.

The course meanders through the city, with massive crowd support ensuring that your eyes and ears will be tested to the max. There are plenty of landmarks to see, including the Sears Tower, which seems visible at virtually every turn.

By raising what you can, you will be giving much-needed support to the Meningitis Trust.

We support more than 20,000 people each year who have been affected by the life-changing disease.

If anyone would like more information about taking part, call me on 01453 768000 or see meningitis-trust.org Roza Woodley Events organiser Meningitis Trust Stroud Gloucestershire
