THIS man is wanted by someone very important this Christmas – and it is not Santa Claus.

Oliver Smith failed to attend court in response to a summons for failing to comply with a community order requirement.

Now he is wanted by a judge at Oxford Crown Court.

Smith, 23, is the latest mugshot to appear in the Oxford Mail’s Badvent Calendar, behind door 21. Our aim is to help the police catch as many people as we possible can, and officers are urging the public to keep their eyes peeled for these rogues.

Smith was handed the community order following an assault he committed in Corn Street, Witney, in June 2008.

Smith subsequently appeared in court in November that year, when he was given the community order.

The last known address for Smith is Church Road in Long Hanborough, but no one has seen him for more than two years.

Pc Aaron Walker said: “As part of the community order given to Smith for the offence he committed, he had to comply with a number of conditions. Not only that, he has failed to attend court when summonsed to do so. Efforts have been made to locate him, but so far we have not traced him.

“We know that Smith has links to the West Oxfordshire area, specifically Witney, and I would like to speak to anyone who may have seen him in the area or who knows of his whereabouts.”

Anyone with information should contact Pc Walker on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
