James Allen, 27, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted shoplifting two bottles of aftershave valued at £69.98 from Superdrug in Oxford on January 24. Jailed for three weeks due to previous record and recent release from custody.

James Bisson, 22, of Sage Walk, Oxford, admitted failing to comply with a suspended sentence by failing to attend supervision on December 7 and 30. Original offences of two public order charges and being carried in a stolen car resentenced. Jailed for six weeks.

Raymond Joseph, 34, of Edinburgh Drive, Didcot, admitted criminal damage of £400 to a candyfloss maker and resisting or obstructing a police constable in Didcot on November 8. Fined £50, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £25 costs. Also given a 12-month conditional discharge.

Alexander Matthews, 18, of Chestnut Avenue, Oxford, admitted driving without insurance at the Green Road roundabout, Oxford, on May 23. Given an absolute discharge as defendant “was misled by his grandfather into believing he was still insured because his grandfather said he would renew it”.

Robert Burden, 31, of Salford Road, Marston, Oxford, admitted breaching a community order by failing to attend unpaid work on January 5. Given 15 extra hours’ unpaid work and ordered to pay £25 costs.

Robert Pyne, 37, of Boundary Brook Road, Oxford, admitted shoplifting Gillette razors valued at £146 from Waitrose in Abingdon on July 22 and shoplifting a television valued at £399.99 from Sainsbury’s in Poole on February 2, 2010. Also admitted two counts of failing to surrender to court bail on December 1 and January 19. Given a four-month jail sentence, suspended for a year. Also given 12 months’ supervision and a six-month drug-rehabilitation order.

Richard Dalgleish, 28, of Shabbington, Aylesbury, admitted assault by beating in Oxford on January 12. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £50 compensation and £85 costs.

Amender Juss, 25, of Ivy Lane, Oxford, admitted drink driving in The Slade, Headington, Oxford, on January 13. Namely having 66 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35mg. Fined £200, £85 costs and a £15 victims’ surcharge. Banned from driving for 18 months.

Karl Barrett, 24, of Redbridge Hollow, Oxford, admitted three counts of making off without payment for fuel totalling £370.35 in Oxford, Faringdon and Eynsham on January 25. Also admitted driving while disqualified and without insurance on January 26. Jailed for 18 weeks and banned from driving for 18 months.

Benjamin Houghton, 38, of Partridge Walk, Blackbird Leys, Oxford, admitted failing to attend or remain for a follow-up assessment following a test for the presence of Class A drugs in Oxford on December 13. Fined £50 and a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Ioan Lica, 30, of Abingdon Road, Oxford, admitted using words or behaviour to cause a fear of unlawful violence in Oxford on October 22. Given 45 hours’ unpaid work and told to pay £125 costs.

Given a four-month curfew and told to pay £40 compensation and £360 costs.
