Soon to be just a logo, the NHS will never be the same again if we allow the Government’s Health and Social Care Bill to go unchallenged.

Taxpayers’ money will be handed over to large corporations who will run things just like in the US, for the profit of their stakeholders.

The Government is trying to muddy this reality by telling us the changes will be led by GP consortia and thinks that because we trust our GPs they are not going to rip us off.

Unfortunately, with the passing of this bill, our GPs will have no choice.

Furious opposition to the bill from think tanks and colleges including the BMA, RCN and Royal College of General Practitioners will not be enough to kill this bill. It requires real people power.

The closure of our libraries and the loss of our schools and social care services will be as nothing in comparison.

If we do not act now and act loudly we will look back and hang our heads in shame, as our children and grandchildren access a severely limited ‘free at the point of access’ healthcare system run by ‘for stakeholder profit’ organisations.

If we think this could not happen in Britain, think again. This bill will tear our beloved NHS to shreds.

Write or email your MP to vote against this bill.

Protest against library closures if you must, and march with hundreds of thousands of others in the national demonstration on March 26 against the speed of all the cuts. But make no mistake, your country, kith and kin need us to kill this bill before it kills the NHS, leaving just a rotting corpse in a stinking bag carrying an NHS logo.
