DESIGNERS whose clothes have been worn by outlandish pop queen Lady Gaga featured in a show of unusual designs for Oxford Fashion Week.
Designers Yvonne Lau and Ara Jo were among the designers who brought the unusual side of the fashion world to The Regal on Tuesday night for the OFW Concept Show.
Lady Gaga wore one of Ms Lau’s futuristic dresses on stage in Toronto in 2009, while Ara Jo was responsible for an eye-catching jumpsuit worn by the pop star the same year.
Ms Jo said: “Being a young designer, I am always up for working with new, up-and-coming people, and I think OFW and me are on the same wavelength, as we have just started. It was amazing to work together, step-by-step.”
This was the first year the event, in its third year, moved into East Oxford and 200 guests packed the venue.
Eighteen designers showcased work.
OFW executive producer Carl Anglim added: “The concept fashion show is edgy, fun, colourful and full of show-stopping designs.”
OFW continues until Saturday night.
