Tomahawk Theatre Company returns to Oxford Castle from Monday until July 16 with its new production of Shakespeare’s perennially popular A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

The castle is one of the city’s best loved attractions and offers a lovely setting for theatre in the open air. An evening of romance and magic is promised, with a tale of mistaken identity and unrequited love set against the power struggle between Oberon and Titania, the antics of mischievous fairies and the playacting of Bottom and his friends. The production is in Edwardian dress and includes song and dance.

Tomahawk is an Oxford based company dedicated to promoting young, local- based talent. They perform both here and overseas. Past productions include Much Ado about Nothing, Macbeth, Hedda Gabler and Gaslight.
