A BOMB disposal team is investigating after a jogger discovered a “cylindrical object” buried in the ground at Dalton Barracks.
Police closed off Honeybottom Lane in Dry Sandford briefly this morning after the find was reported about 11.30am. It was shut for around an hour.
Ministry of Defence spokesman Becky Clark said an explosives ordinance disposal team was currently at the scene.
She said the object was not thought to be dangerous.
