A pedestrian was left with a bleed on the brain after an early-morning crash in Oxford.

The 31-year-old was hit in Sunderland Avenue at 12.45am on Monday and was treated at hospital for a fractured eye socket and cheek.

A white LDV minibus had stopped and dropped off a passenger and shortly afterwards the man was hit by a silver Ford Focus.

He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital where his condition was described as stable but serious. Anyone with information should call 08458 505505.
