The A4074 was shut yesterday morning after five cars crashed at about 8.50am.
A three-vehicle crash near Nineveh Farm led to a further two-car collision on the other side of the road, and the route was closed between Baldon Lane and Henley Road for about two hours.
A blue Mazda, silver Hyundai and silver Ford crashed first travelling from Oxford and, as a result, a silver Toyota and a red Ford Fiesta crashed on their way to the city.
Police said a woman from the Hyundai and a man from the Mazda were taken to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital with minor neck and wrist injuries.
